African tribal legend under the tutelage of the ERIELL Group

Today, on October 4, Animal Protection Day is celebrated around the world to draw public attention to the conservation of fauna, including endangered ones.

On the eve of this important holiday for the whole globe, ERIELL Group rendered charity support to Tashkent Zoo by taking into custody white lion cubs Johnny and Jenny brought from South Africa.

"The two white lion cubs were delivered in the spring of this year when they were very young. We fed them milk, carefully selecting the right kind. Now, they have completely switched to a meat diet. In addition to external dangers, white lions are more prone to various diseases than other, more common species. In particular, therefore, their time in the wild is potentially dangerous.

Thank you, ERIELL Group, for your not indifferent attitude to the life and health of our animals. The action held by you will be useful for the whole Tashkent Zoo", - said Mahmud Kuzibaev, the chief veterinary doctor of the Tashkent Zoo.

For several hundred years, it was believed that the white lion is just a legend, common among the African tribes. They believed that once upon a time, spirits cursed the human race putting on it a terrible disease. And then tormented people remembered their gods and began to beg for their salvation. Heaven took pity and sent the White Lion to earth. The mighty beast healed the human race and left, promising to return when the people needed his help again. The peoples of Africa still keep this beautiful legend alive today.

Today, white lions cannot be seen in the African savannahs. Their rare coloration endangers their life in the wild, so they are given comfortable breeding conditions in nature reserves and zoos around the world.

The legendary lions living in Tashkent Zoo are now under the guardianship of ERIELL Group, with which an agreement on gratuitous financial aid for a year was concluded. It served as the basis for transferring money for the maintenance of these unique animals.

"The lions came to us as infants, so they had to adapt under the indefatigable control of the zoo specialists. We sometimes had to stay overnight to feed them early in the morning. Johnny and Jenny are very friendly, they can't live without each other. That's why they are always together - frolic, eat and rest," said Svetlana Ibragimova, head of the veterinary clinic pharmacy at Tashkent Zoo.

Last weekend, there was a genuine commotion near the cage where Johnny and Jenny were kept. ERIELL Group employees came to visit them together with their children. Girls and boys of different ages watched with interest the funny play of the lion cubs, as well as argued why the animals with a rare color are under protection. The opinions were unanimous: the white lions are too beautiful because of their color and cannot camouflage themselves in natural conditions. And their legendary origins and uniqueness make them doubly vulnerable.

Together with the ERIELL Group employees, the corporate Super Leo characters - the symbols of the Group - came to visit the lions. Their fervor amused and delighted the little ones and the adults. Leo and his wise lion-dad helped mount the memorial plaque and wished the new zoo tenants a long and happy life.

The eventful day spent in the zoo reminded once again how important it is to protect nature and all its inhabitants, to take care of rare specimens of flora and fauna.
